School starts up again Wednesday, so expect severe neglect and accumulating cob webs.  I have accepted a position as a web developer for my brother's company which has inspired me to get down to the nitty-gritty with jQuery. I've always tried implementing various jQuery features using scripts offered by outside parties but never tried to do it on my own. That being said, I programmed my own slide-out shoutbox!  I had been wrestling with a script from Dynamic Drive for a slide out menu, but it was so complicated I couldn't get it working at all! I tried coding it on my own and it was surprisingly simple. I have a feeling deep down in the pit of my stomach that jQuery can get a lot hairier, but for now I think we've become good friends!  Moonflame is up-to-date code wise! Next thing I oughta get on is backups  The new designs are up, for the most part. Currently you can access everything except for the web layouts (one isn't made, the other one I have yet to zip and upload). It will be my goal to finish these things up before Wednesday. Until then though, enjoy the other various formats of the designs!I'll make another update before school starts up again should I actually accomplish something before then! Until next time  P.S. My apologies to Dark! I've been guiltily watching you update consistently. How do you do it?? Anyway, I digress...Another one of Moonflame's birthdays went by unannounced, so let's give the old lady a round of applause. She's only 8... shh!  Also the holidays and New Year flew by (without a word from me), so happy belated holidays and New Year! Wishing the best to you and yours So welcome to Moonflame's 24th version, Birth of Decay. Hopefully it's not like an omen that Moonflame will be decaying. Honestly, I started off with a PNG of a sailor girl and a bubblegum theme in mind. No idea where that went! If you read the new welcome message at the top (who does), you might have read about Moonflame's new format starting this year. All of our graphics prior to this date will still be accessible, but from now on, new designs will be available in multiple formats. For organization purposes, I'm separating the old from the new. Currently, new graphics will be offered as: wallpapers (phone and PC), avatars, facebook cover pictures, and weblayouts. If you have any other format suggestions, pleeeeeeeassss don't hesitate to e-mail me or comment! I'm excited to transform these designs for various platforms and displays! I have two new designs of this nature so far and will be putting them up shortly (although the one lacks a weblayout for the moment). In the meantime, I'm sweeping the site to make sure all of the formatting matches the new theme. I just finished the site category and revamped the Past Layouts page. I cut the descriptions because you couldn't pay the world's best lawyer to defend some of those tragedies. Anyway, stay tuned for the new designs and I hope you like the new layout! Talk to you soon! I merely had a somewhat relaxing and uncommon Thursday night of university life. I actually have tons of homework I'm in denial about right now. But I decided I wanted to work on Moonflame for a bit. I've updated all of the pages to match the new layout. All of them look good, besides the past layouts section (which obviously needs a revamp anyway as there are new past layouts to be added...). Also, I want to revamp the style of display on the website layouts and Gaia profiles pages. I probably won't make more Gaia profiles, but I'll keep them up for anyone who might want them and also just to look at cause they're kind of pretty (haha). I've added just three new avatars and also a pretty link button to match the new layout. Sadly that is it for content updates.  I think I want to shift my focus to more layouts and more tutorials. They are honestly my favourite items on Moonflame. Maybe some more articles as well. I'm considering adding miscellaneous articles that offer advice (like the inspiration article).Alsooo as I am learning programming in college, perhaps I can whip up a baby Java tutorial. It'll be a nice way to review for me and an interesting way to expose visitors to new ideas. Let me know what you think! I'm also thinking of adding a page for visitor requests. I would like to see what visitors are interested in. As I write this update, I have to stop to consider the fact that I don't really have visitors because I don't keep my site updated and fresh and it isn't really advertised or anything.
